This is the place to come when you have a tutorial, but have no idea where to post it. Or, alternatively, when you have a tutorial that suits a lot of different mediums.

This is a tutorial I've tried out from Matter of Scrap Digital Scrapbooking. This tutorial helps you get a grungey effect for your text. it's done in Photoshop Elements 4.0, but I have CS3 and it worked fine for me. Some things you may have to tweak, but it's essentially translatable. This is what I got: And the bits I had to tweak were: I had to right click on the layer and 'Rasterize Type'. I used a splatter brush, and then a star brush, both downloaded. I copied one of the layers, pasted it into a new image, resized it slightly bigger than it was, and then dragged it back on, moving it to one side. Hopefully that's all OK, give it a try!

This is something I orginally posted in the Icon Tuts thread, but there are some general misc ones too, such as text and blends. It's a forum, primarily for Narnia news, but has a thread for fan art tutorials. NarniaWeb: Fan Art Tutorials. it's got some good tricks and hints, although i've yet to try any out.
