Yep, another tutorial. This is another one of mine, and born out of months of frustration! I've done 2 spin-offs to this, hope you like them!
Tutorial #2 - Nick IconFirst, get a 100x100 icon ready.
Then, get the picture that you want to use.
Select an area that you want to be grey - I chose the face to play around with, you can use what you like.
Ctrl + Shift + U - turns the selected area grey.
Open a new layer, with the selection still on.
Fill the selection on the new layer with a colour - I used white.
Select -> Modify -> Contract gives you a border. I chose to have my border at a size 2, but you can use whatever you want.
Then hit delete and that will get rid of the middle block of colour.
Then, if you want, you could add a brush/text/whatever to add some 'glam'.
Resize, merge, and drag onto your earlier icon and sharpern.
Blam! You're done!
Tutorial #3 - Nick Icon(Pretty much the same as above.)
First, get a 100x100 icon ready.
Then, get the picture that you want to use.

Merge the layers together, and drag onto you 100x100 icon.
Then, if you want, you could add a brush/text/whatever to add some 'glam'.
Sharpen and blam! You're done!
